Hey MUD and Redstone builder!
We had a fun week of MUD releases and more! We went from MUD v2.2.4 to MUD v2.2.5 to MUD v2.2.6 to MUD v2.2.7 in the span of a couple of days (the devs are hard at work). Be sure to check out our changelog and update to the latest version of MUD.
Weekly Updates
We released MUD v2.2.4 on Wednesday which includes fixes, dependency bumps, and updates to World Explorer. Check out the thread here.
We also covered our most recent MUD v2.2.7 release (sorry v2.2.5 and v2.2.6, we love you too). Check out the thread here, and be sure to update to our latest release!
alvarius worked with Minters World to speed up their MUD project deployment time from over 10 minutes to under 10 seconds! You can learn more in this thread, and check out the Github PR here. This was included in the v2.2.6 release!
Discussions and Docs of the Week
Reshka hit us with a 3-part question about gas performance and data access, and ideal storage patterns that gets at how MUD performs SLOAD calls. Check it out here!
If you’re interested in the full lowdown on how we worked with Minters World to speed up MUD deployment times, check out this thread which features the back-and-forth with the devs!
Over in the MUD docs, we updated the SQL API!
Project Radar
ICYMI: last week EVE Frontier announced their playtest on Garnet, the Redstone testnet! If you haven’t already, be sure to sign up for their playtest, especially if you’re thinking about building Smart Assemblies — which are powered by MUD!
And that’s all for this week! As always, if you have announcements or feedback you’d like to share, feel free to get in touch with vera!
