MUD and Redstone Newsletter #9
Multi-namespace support, MUD<>reth compatibility, ZK MUD, and more!
Hey MUD and Redstone builders,
Another week, another round of updates across the MUD and Redstone ecosystem. For this issue, we have some alpha leaks for MUD 2.1 (releasing soon^tm next week!) and a couple items from our community to put on your radar. Let’s get into it.
Weekly Updates
Ahead of our MUD 2.1 release next week, which will include multi-namespace support (which we briefly discussed in last week’s newsletter), frolic explored how the Biomes team implemented a proto-form of multi-namespaces. Check out the tweet!
Outside of this, MUD and Redstone devs have been hard at work on some upcoming releases, which we will begin sharing with you next week!
Discussions of the Week
Are you in the Lattice Discord anon? It’s the best place to stay on top of up-to-date happenings in the MUD and Redstone ecosystem.
This week, we had some interesting discussions in our MUD-help channel.
With the help of t11s, we uncovered and resolved an incompatibility between MUD and reth, in which devs couldn’t set their gas fees to 0 in a testing environment. Thank you to mattsse from the reth team, as the issue is now being resolved (see here and here).
We had a great discussion with FilosofiaCodigo (Turupawn on Discord) on getting event-like functionality in MUD…which was followed up by a blogpost in both Spanish and English on verifying private off-chain computing using MUD and Circom!
Project Radar
DF Archon is coming back for a new round on Redstone! Get ready for more adventures in the Dark Forest, coming to you on August 11th!
And that’s all for this week! As always, if you have announcements or feedback you’d like to share, feel free to get in touch with vera!
Talk soon,
The Lattice team
